Well, after procastinating for over a year, I finally started my blog. My hope is that writing in this blog will be a catharsis for me and it will become something I look forward to, rather than something I loath. Only time will tell.
As suggested by the title of my blog, most of the topics I will post here will be of a Masonic nature. That's not to say that I won't post about other major events or items I find interesting, but for the most part I will use this space to wax Masonic.
Now, a little about me. I am a 30-something software engineer residing in southeastern Masschusetts. I am happily married to my beautiful and talented wife of over 5 years and have a 2-year old daughter with another on the way. My Masonic journey started in 2007 when I petitioned the Lodge, was accepted and progressed through the degrees until I was raised to the sublime degree in January 2008. Currently, I am installed as the junior steward in my Lodge and am really looking forward to my journey through the line.
I've found Freemasonry to be a great guiding and influential force in my life, even in the short time I've been involved. Freemasonry has much to teach for those who want to listen and learn. This has been said to the point of being a cliche, but like most other things, Freemasonry is what you make of it.
Naturally, any brother interested in contacting me is welcome to do so. As we learn, one of the great benefits of Freemasonry is the potential to meet men of great character who would otherwise remain at a perpetual distance.
